About VMN
The VMN brand was established 10 years ago when we came up with a clever idea to extend the steering shaft when fitting a body lift to the Toyota Hilux. Little did we know that this hobby business would grow to such an extent that it would become a full time business and a springboard into a significant 4WD accessories provider to the Australian and International markets.In the early days before Facebook existed, our friends on the newhilux.net forum provided heaps of feedback about our product which was channelled back into product improvements and refining our fitting instructions which stand as an example to any other manufacturer who wants to develop, manufacture and market a body lift.
Despite our best efforts to keep the business as an after hours hobby, the brand asserted itself to such an extent that we had no choice but to morph into a full time business culminating in 2018 when we moved out of home into a dedicated warehouse located in Acacia Ridge, a suburb of Brisbane situated in Queensland Australia.
People with long memories will recall that Acacia Ridge has a long affiliation with Australia’s Motor Vehicle Manufacturing history with the famed GM Holden brand being manufactured there from 1966 until after the demise of the HZ Holden in 1979.
Our customers actively sought our advice about what suspension to fit with their Hilux body lifts so we started to introduce a range of quality third party brands to complement our own products.
We have customers in all parts of the globe including Iceland, Russia, Kazakhstan, South Africa, French Polynesia, the United States, Mauritius, Turkey, Asia, the Middle East, several countries in the Caribbean and throughout Europe including the UK, Scotland, Switzerland, Germany, France and Greece. From feedback from international customers, there is a global demand for quality 4x4 accessories and Australian brands stand out in a sea of mediocre Asian offerings.
In 2019, we made the decision to expand our product range to many more 4x4 vehicles so we could be better brand ambassadors for our distributors who had thousands more products on offer for non-Hilux driving customers. This has also been accelerated by premium brands approaching us to resell their products.
The overriding criteria when selecting products to offer our customers is that we will only recommend quality brands and products. We pride ourselves in the quality of our own products that our customers have learnt to depend on so we don’t want to disappoint you by offering inferior components. Sometimes we find the Australian product offering lacking and in those cases, we continue to scour the globe to find products that we are confident will not only work for our customers in Australia’s harsh offroad conditions but deliver value for money.
